At the annual Honour Luncheon held during the Provincial Recognition of Excellence Awards and Developmental Workshop, the Army Cadet League of Canada – Alberta (ACLC –AB) will honour a member in good standing who has performed exemplary service to the League at the provincial level.
The Award will take the form of a framed certificate and citation. Their name will be forwarded to the National Office as our Nominee for the National League Member of the Year
AUTHORITY
Approving authority for this award shall be the Honours and Awards Sub-Committee of the ACLC – AB whose decision shall be final.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The following criteria shall be used as a guide in determining the nomination and final selection of the Member of the Year:
1. Dedication and active service to the ACLC – AB over a period of years:
2. Completion of a major task that benefitted the ACLC – AB and which brought credit or efficiencies to the ACLC – AB and/or the Royal Canadian Army Cadets:
3. The member exhibits personal qualities that serve as a role model for other members and cadets:
4. A member may receive this award more than once.
SELECTION
Nominations may be made by Members of the ACLC – AB in good standing, Commanding Officers of Cadet Corps or Parents Committee Representatives. The nomination shall be by letter or email in the form of a “citation”. Nominations shall close December 31st annually. Selection shall take place at the Board of Governors (BOG) meeting in January of the following year.
